Narita International Airport (NRT)
Narita is Tokyo's second international gateway, around 60 km east of the city. It has three terminals; Terminal 3 is the low-cost carrier terminal and is reached on foot or by shuttle from Terminal 2.
ターミナル
- Terminal 1
- Star Alliance and other international carriers.
- Terminal 2
- oneworld and other international carriers.
- Terminal 3
- Low-cost carriers; no direct rail station — use the walkway or shuttle from Terminal 2.
到着
Expect immigration, then baggage claim, then customs before reaching the arrivals hall.
- Japan's online entry procedure can speed up immigration and customs; complete it before landing if you plan to use it.
- Narita is far from central Tokyo — plan your onward transport before you land, especially for late arrivals.
- Train and bus ticket counters are in the arrivals area of Terminals 1 and 2.
市内への交通
電車
Narita Express (N'EX)
JR limited-express service to Tokyo, Shinagawa, Shibuya, Shinjuku and Yokohama.
- 所要時間:
- Roughly 60-90 minutes depending on destination
Reserved seating; covered by the Japan Rail Pass.
電車
Keisei Skyliner
Fast service to Nippori and Ueno in north-east Tokyo, with connections to the Yamanote Line.
- 所要時間:
- Roughly 40-45 minutes to Ueno
電車
Keisei Access Express / local trains
Slower but cheaper services into Tokyo, some running through to Asakusa and Haneda.
バス
Airport buses
Limousine buses to hotels and districts, plus low-cost coach services to Tokyo Station and Ginza.
Traffic can add significant time.
タクシー
Taxis
Available outside arrivals; the distance from central Tokyo makes taxis expensive.
- 目安料金:
- Substantially more than rail
レンタカー
Rental cars
Rental counters serve the terminals; driving into central Tokyo is rarely worthwhile for visitors.
乗り継ぎ
Allow generous time — Narita's terminals are separate buildings and Terminal 3 has no rail station.
- International-to-domestic connections normally require clearing immigration and customs first.
- A free shuttle bus runs between terminals; Terminal 2 to Terminal 3 can also be walked along a marked path.
- Transfers between Narita and Haneda take at least a couple of hours by bus or train — treat them as separate journeys.
Wi-Fiと接続
Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the passenger terminals.
- Connect to the airport network and accept the terms page.
- Avoid sensitive logins on public Wi-Fi.
両替、カード、チップ
Cash remains useful in Japan even though cards are widely accepted in cities.
- ATMs accepting foreign cards are available in the terminals.
- Pay in Japanese yen rather than accepting dynamic currency conversion.
- Tipping is not customary.
食事と飲み物
Each terminal has restaurants and convenience stores landside and airside.
- Options thin out late at night; convenience stores are the dependable fallback.
ラウンジと休憩
Airline and pay-per-use lounges operate in Terminals 1 and 2.
- Confirm access rules with your airline or lounge programme before travelling.
空港ホテル
There are hotels at and immediately around the airport, plus a well-known day-use/overnight rest option in the terminals.
- Because Narita is far from the city, an airport hotel often makes sense for very early departures.
手荷物と税関
Coin lockers and staffed baggage storage are available in the terminals.
- Luggage-forwarding counters can send bags to hotels or other airports.
- Report delayed or lost bags at your airline's baggage desk before leaving the customs area.
家族旅行とバリアフリー
Nursing rooms, baby-changing facilities and children's areas are provided.
- Request wheelchair or mobility assistance through your airline before travelling.
